Chief Causey is a native of the Finklea community of Horry County. He joined law enforcement in 1985 as a State trooper where he served for 31 years. During his tenure with SCHP, he was selected as one of the original 12 appointees to the newly formed Governors RAID Team and selected as the District 7 Trooper of the year. He was assigned to Marion County in 1992. Causey was honored to be chosen to serve as second in command for the Marion County Sheriff's Office as Chief Deputy upon Sheriff Wallace being elected in 2016.

Major Bobby Lee Crawford was born in Dillon, SC and raised in Sellers, SC. Currently, he serves as the Major at the Marion County Sheriff’s Office . He has been in law enforcement for 22 years. In 2016, after 31 years of service, Major Crawford retired from the military with the rank of Master Sergeant. Major Crawford is very active in the community.
