General Statement of Duties

Performs routine animal care and related duties at the county's animal shelter. The work involves taking complaints and dispatching animal control officers, cleaning and maintaining kennel areas, and performing related shelter duties. Workers carry out daily assignments, follow through on matters, and use independent judgment and training to take appropriate actions to deal with standard recurring situations.


Minimum Qualifications

 Food Hub Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager with applied knowledge of best

 practices in food safety, FDA regulations, and packing operations for a

mission-driven food hub. Responsibilities include managing all shipping,

receiving, warehouse functions, and equipment maintenance. This

will include managing all outbound and inbound produce to assure delivery

and receipt as required by schedule in conformance with established

standards; ensuring timely and proactive maintenance of delivery vehicles

 and produce coolers/freezers to ensure ongoing operation of critical equipment;

 and maintaining food hub warehouse space daily for cleanliness and organization

. The Warehouse Operations Manager reports directly to the Food Hub Director

 and works collaboratively with other members of the food hub team. 

 

 

Education and Experience

 

The ideal candidate will have experience handling produce and assessing

produce quality, preferably in commercial farming work or as a produce

manager or wholesaler, and have extensive working knowledge of food

 safety regulations and practices.  She or he must have experience operating

and maintaining produce washing/grading equipment, forklifts, freezers and

 coolers, and the ability to perform varied and repetitive warehouse tasks

 including manual lifting of boxes between 25 – 50 pounds, in conditions that

vary from hot and humid, to cold and wet.

 

An undergraduate degree in food science or related agriculture field is preferred. 

A minimum of five years’ experience in food warehousing and distribution is

 preferred, and experience working directly with producers/farmers and/or

restaurants and grocery stores is highly desirable.

produce distributor who is inspired to increase sales opportunities for local

farmers. Responsibilities include developing and sustaining relationships with customers

in a combined buyer/sales role for the purpose of increasing sales, managing availability

and price lists in collaboration with producers, and managing a wide range of

administrative tasks associated with running the food hub.  The Sales and

Marketing Manager reports directly to the Food Hub Director and works collaboratively

with other members of the food hub team. 

 

 

Education and Experience

 

The ideal candidate will have experience attracting a diverse set of growers and

buyers, negotiating appropriate price structures, and coordinating the type, quantity,

and timing of deliveries through pre-season crop planning. She or he will have

extensive sales experience, preferably with wholesale produce, and excellent

communication skills for representing the food hub through emails, phone, and

in-person meetings with prospective and existing customers.  In addition

to effective communication and interpersonal skills, experience in website management

and social media networking is highly desirable. 

 

An undergraduate degree in marketing, business administration or a related

field is preferred.  A minimum of five years’ experience in sales and/or marketing

is required, and experience working directly with producers/farmers and/or restaurants

and grocery stores is highly desirable.

We are seeking a Customer Relations and Delivery Manager for a mission-driven food

hub. Responsibilities include logistics, customer relations, and delivering produce

within assigned route schedule and time windows.

·         Assist with general maintenance of faculties and equipment

The Delivery Driver will make numerous stops averaging 150 miles a day. The

Customer Relations and Delivery Manager reports directly to the Food Hub

Education and Experience

 

Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 

A minimum of two years’ experience as a delivery driver is preferred, and experience

working directly with producers/farmers and/or restaurants and grocery stores

and interpersonal skills.
